Squarespace: Instagram Content

Growing up in the 2010's meant my creative journey and the surge of social media has gone hand in hand. Early on I gravitated to working on social content, simply because it was the majority of what I consumed.

During my time at Squarespace, I was given the task of producing all the organic content going live on their social channels. This included docu-series videos, a microsite, a music video, UGC static posts, and more! Take a look at some of the highlights below...

In October 2019, we focused on 3 incredible female business owners across Brooklyn. During 3 days of on-location shoots, we produced three mini-docs. These pieces dove into the personal journeys that has led to their current business endeavors.

In November 2019, we were able to put the spotlight on musicians using Squarespace. During this time we shot one of my favorite pieces, featuring Cautious Clay — just a few days before he headed out on his world tour.

We captured this story in one day. From daybreak in his Brooklyn apartment, to a rehearsal space where he was perfecting his set.

To wrap up 2019 we knew we had to take a look at the year behind, with the future very much in mind. We introduced six creators, founders, and innovators who propelled their vision to new heights that year. These customers were Abasi Rosborough, Antwaun Sargent, Kopitiam,
& Noah Rubin.

We presented this content series through stills & video on social, as well as on a unique mobile-first microsite.

To start 2020 we featured two small businesses in Brooklyn. Asking them to share their Secret Ingredient to success, and how they've found their groove.

Forthave Spirits explained how they established a sense of freedom to create, and Relationships shared how they created a space to show everyday objects in a new light.

Honoring Black History Month, we worked to celebrate the identities, origins, and careers of a few black creatives.

Product Designer Judd Smith, Art Director Nick Fulcher and Social Media Editor Peyton Dix joined us to share their perspectives. We shared these conversations through an interview video, and static + motion posts during February 2020.

There's nothing more exciting to me then discovering and working with talented people.

So of course I was stoked when I came across the talents of Sophia Lauer + LoveYouLater . We collaborated with them to create two unique videos. A music video for the stripped version of a song by LoveYouLater, directed by Sophia, as well as a mini-docu focused on their process.

To wrap up Q1 of 2020, we grabbed some time with Eric Hu to hear his perspective on trends in the design world—what he had to say was pure gold.

When Covid-19 hit our shores, productions went on pause. We had to take a step back, and really think about how making content looks in this new normal.

Out of this global pause came a chance to work with the musical duo that is @mountkimbie. Through bare-bones crews in London & LA, we were able to create a mini-docu featuring how they’re creating music across continents.

During this quarantine the team also got creative with the type of content we could create. Which led to commissioning 4 self-recorded videos (formatted specifically for IGTV), called “Class in Session”.

We also found ways to hand off the content creation to amazing creatives in a more static format. Specifically during this years Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month, we collaborated with 3 artists to showcase their unique heritage through art.

After producing the first “Next Generation” piece earlier in 2020, that content series became somewhat of my baby. I led the charge to create more features of emerging creatives through our channel and was excited to produce the second installment of the series with Kanya Iwana, this time in my new home of LA.

Like the first piece, We collaborated with Kanya to create two unique videos. A narrative short film, directed by Kanya, as well as a mini-docu focused on her process and background.
